Step-N-Motion, Inc.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The Step-N-Motion, Inc., Austin’s Premier Swing Dance organization provides scholarships to qualified high school students, entering their 1st year of college.  The awards are based on academic efforts, campus and community activity, and other outstanding characteristics exhibited by students.  Funding for these awards come from the generous contributions from Step-N-Motion, Inc. public fundraising activities. The award in the amount of $500 will be distributed directly to the accredited institution of higher education upon proof of enrollment.

Qualifications: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

READ CAREFULLY AND FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS

• An applicant must be graduated from high school and entering college for the first time as full-time undergraduate.
  

• Applicants must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA in high school.
  

• Applicant must include an official high school transcript.
  

• Applicant must provide a letter of interest, resume or vitae outlining extra curricular activities, community involvement, interests and hobbies, and/or work experience
  

• Applicant must submit one written reference letter from a teacher, principal, or advisor/counselor addressing applicant’s academic qualifications, sense of responsibility, community service and activities, and/or leadership potential.
  

• The application, transcript, letter of interest, and reference letter must ALL be submitted at the same time
  

• Type or print legibly all information, use correct grammar, punctuation and spelling.
  

• Applicant must show proof of enrollment prior to the release of funds.
  

• The successful recipient will be invited to attend a special awards ceremony in their honor. The recipient will be notified of the date and location.
